Since the beginning of the year, law enforcement agencies in the Hudson Valley have made a concerted effort to encourage motorists not to drive while intoxicated. On Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, troopers busted four motorists for DWI.
Among the local residents arrested include:
Tuesday, April 3:
- State police troopers from the Greenville barracks stopped Middletown resident Diahann Eschbach, 48, on Route 17M in Wawayanda for a vehicle and traffic law violation. During the stop, it was determined that Eschbach was under the influence of alcohol and she was arrested.
- A Westchester County woman was busted for DWI in her Mercedes 350 on Route 17 in Mamakating.
Wednesday, April 4:
- State police troopers from the Hamptonburg barracks stopped Poughkeepsie resident Myeasha Quill, 31, on Route 17M in Newburgh for a vehicle and traffic law violation. During the stop, it was determined that Quill was under the influence of alcohol and she was arrested.
A woman from Liberty was also busted for DWI by state police troopers.
Each of the arrested parties was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. Each has since been released to a sober third-party and are due back in court later this year to answer the charges.
