Three Area Motorists Face DWI Charges In Route 17M Stops

A trio from the Hudson Valley were among those busted by New York State Police troopers overnight, as state and local law enforcement agencies continue efforts to curtail impaired driving.

Since the beginning of the year, law enforcement agencies in the Hudson Valley have made a concerted effort to encourage motorists not to drive while intoxicated. On Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, troopers busted four motorists for DWI.

Wednesday, April 4:

  • State police troopers from the Hamptonburg barracks stopped Poughkeepsie resident Myeasha Quill, 31, on Route 17M in Newburgh for a vehicle and traffic law violation. During the stop, it was determined that Quill was under the influence of alcohol and she was arrested.

A woman from Liberty was also busted for DWI by state police troopers.  

Each of the arrested parties was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. Each has since been released to a sober third-party and are due back in court later this year to answer the charges.
